TO MAKE A WARRIORS SOUL.
Original greeting card created by (c) Jacqueline Howett. From the Cards By Jacq Collection. |
In my native land,
they tell stories
of the never ending road,
that they have travelled on.
They want me to know
about the why
that I am being here.
They look at me
and I see their hidden tears.
They have gathered, everyone of them,
feathers for my journey.
They talk of the heart
I will come to know.
That will break first,
in order to be strong,
to make a Warrior's soul.

DeleteBeautiful card and beautiful poem =)
ReplyDeleteHow true that one's heart must first be broken in order to become stronger! Even the Breeze
ReplyDeleteWise words - we learn through experience, painful as it may be. We become stronger through it.

The road of life is what unknown to us and we have to travel it like a warrior.
ReplyDeleteI love the strength of your words. And the idea of a warrior's soul. Thanks for taking part in Poetry Pantry.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. I really appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! the card is beautiful and the words are inspired.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Experience speaks and it is passed on
ReplyDeleteI like the concept of the never ending road (life) being presented in the process of the whole village preparing the child for the never ending journey (living) by giving him/her the tools of wisdom (the feathers) to survive it like a warrior. It takes a village . . .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem, full of meaning. Nice card :)
ReplyDeleteEven with that warning, the first heart break will still be hard! Beautiful card!
